I can't gleam the purpose of various methods implemented in the Motor class. If this software is acceptable for Pi4J then what are the appropriate packages in which to place these classes. The servo ports are 5V powered and does not use the DC motor supply What pins are/are not used on the motor shield GND and either 5v (default) or 3.3v are required to power the logic on-board. If it is not lit brightly, then the DC/Stepper motors will not run. I have not tested this as I only have one HAT. The LED indicates the DC/Stepper motor power supply is working. Because Motor HATs can be stacked I assume I can have multiple instantiations for I2CBus and I2CDevice once for each instantiation of a AdafruitMotorHat. It would be great if you could take a look at these classes and see if they fit into the Pi4J functionality that you envision.
